Joel F. Fosha is the director of communications at the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community, Indiana University, Bloomington.

Fosha oversees the Indiana Institute’s multi-tiered marketing and communication team to ensure cohesive branding of its core message and formal communications programs across its six centers and a disability-focused library. Fosha has worked at the Institute for over 33 years promoting research to practice initiatives that support the advancement of applied research, evaluation, and public policy; outreach that is community oriented; technical assistance activities that are collaborative, systematic, and results driven; and educational preparation of the next generation of leaders in the field.

Fosha earned his bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Indiana University, Bloomington in 1986. Fosha is a member of the Indiana Institute’s Leadership team and coordinates the IIDC’s Interdisciplinary Education Training Program, a leadership development program designed for undergraduate and graduate students working at the Institute.
