About future trainings

For the past several decades, the Indiana Resource Center for Autism has conducted Autism Team Training in Bloomington. Through the years, close to 500 teams have been trained from school districts and community mental health centers across Indiana. Because of the Coronavirus, we have decided to move all workshops to an online format.

Comprehensive Programming for Students Across the Autism Spectrum Training Series will replace Autism Team Training this year. Information about this training series can be found at https://www.iidc.indiana.edu/irca/news-and-events/comprehensive-programming-for-students-across-the-autism-spectrum-training-series.html. This training will be available in January 2021.

During the year, two live Zooms will be advertised and available for folks to ask questions of IRCA presenters and to gain any needed clarification. These two live Zooms will be held for free and scheduled later.

I have learned so much about behavior and using visual supports to improve student participation and outcomes. Using visual supports with my students in speech therapy has improved no only behaviors, but also students' focus, language comprehension and verbal expression skills.
