The Riley Child Development Center at IU School of Medicine; Indiana Resource Center for Autism at Indiana Institute on Disability and Community, Indiana University; The Arc of Indiana and the Autism Society of Indiana have partnered with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's "Learn the Signs. Act Early" program so children with autism and other developmental disabilities can be identified early and get the services and support they and their families need.

Indiana's Act Early team released a publication, "Roadmap to Services: When You are Concerned Your Young Child May Have an Autism Disorder". This brochure provides information on the early signs of autism in the areas of communication, social skills, and restrictive or repetitive interests, steps for obtaining a diagnosis, and where to find additional services and supports. The brochure is designed in sunny colors and early childhood imagery, answers the question many families ask, "What if I'm told to wait to see if he/she outgrows it?" The resources in this brochure empower families to take the next step they believe will help their child now.
