As one of six centers at the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community, our mission is to advance policies and practices that produce positive outcomes for all young children, including children with disabilities, and their families. Throughout our history we have found that Indiana's most vulnerable children and families succeed when communities and early childhood programs are inclusive, provide services that reflect high standards and current research, and are results driven. We accomplish our mission by:
What We Do
Bridging Research to Practice
We help translate the latest research findings into easily understood practices and policies that can be carried out with fidelity.
Designing and Providing Effective Professional Development
We provide intensive professional learning opportunities that exceed traditional workshops and assists individual professionals implementing evidence-based practices.
Working with Programs to Foster Sustainable Change
We bring together program leaders, practitioners, and stakeholders to guide and support their adoption of new and innovative practices that improve service quality.
