The National Learning Academy offers targeted courses to provide the deep understanding and practical applications you need to effectively help people with disabilities reach their vocational goals.

Working with Special Populations

Formerly Incarcerated Individuals and Employment

Available March 1-31, 2024

In this course, we address how to assist individuals with disabilities who have been involved with the criminal justice system while addressing the challenges inherent for most, if not all, people released from prison.

Substance Use Disorders

Available March 1-31, 2024

This course describes commonly misused substances and their specific effects on the brain and other body organs as well as their impact on society. We discuss current best practices for treatment.

Trauma-Informed Care

Available March 1-31, 2024

This course identifies the basic elements of trauma-informed care and how it impacts success. We define trauma and trauma-informed care and review the history of trauma-informed care. We review best practices, cultural considerations, and explore why caregiver wellness is important.
