Job development is the process of finding and “crafting” employment opportunities. It can involve building a relationship with a job seeker to help them prepare for work. It also involves partnering with potential employers to help them see the possibilities and advantages of hiring a diverse worker.
IIDC’s Center on Community Living and Careers is offering its online job development training, “Beyond Barriers to Passion and Possibilities,” September 28 to November 20, 2020. The training is based on and features the work of internationally renowned author Denise Bissonnette. This beyond-the-basics course is for seasoned employment professionals interested in expanding their job development knowledge and skills.
Training includes online modules for the course and a copy of Denise Bissonnette’s book Beyond Traditional Job Development.
